About Tyler
I'm a business-minded legal counsel and operator with over 12 years of experience spanning prestigious law firms, venture capital, and entrepreneurial ventures. My career path combines sophisticated legal expertise with hands-on operational leadership, allowing me to provide business-focused solutions that drive growth while effectively managing risk.
My journey began at two major St. Louis law firms—Bryan Cave and Polsinelli—where I spent six years specializing in M&A, venture capital, and general outside counsel work. This foundation gave me a strong understanding of complex legal frameworks, but I soon realized my passion lay in directly contributing to business teams.
This led me to SixThirty Ventures, where I served as both General Counsel and Director of Operations. There, I managed everything from fund formation and portfolio company investments to compliance and global back-office operations. My multifaceted role helped scale the firm's assets under management from $25 million to nearly $100 million. During the pandemic, I successfully negotiated and closed investment transactions across five continents in a single month, demonstrating my ability to execute complex deals in challenging environments.
At GB Entertainment, I served as COO and General Counsel for a dynamic team of 12 producing "In Depth"—a nationally syndicated profile show featuring top-tier celebrities, sports stars, and business leaders like Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Howard Schultz, and Bethenny Frankel.
My dual business-legal perspective allows me to provide practical counsel that resonates with executive teams. On any given day in my career, I have worn multiple hats—GC, COO, Head of HR, and occasionally CEO—but this versatility is precisely what enables me to deliver legal strategies firmly grounded in business reality.
